According to Spain's National Center for Microbiology Research, people with sensitive skin enjoy wearing clothes made from mycelium material due to its natural composition, which imparts natural antibacterial properties to the fabric.

Tests by German mushroom leather accessory company Zvnder show that mycelium leather shoes improve foot odor when directly in contact with the skin. Even as a watch strap, this material can prevent skin irritation in eczema patients.
